Huge thanks to Bailey Thomas for funding a project to deliver adapted and specialised physical activity sessions to young people with life-limiting conditions. The programme is based around fun and the activities are often chosen by the children themselves which helps their engagement. However, the programme is also based on progression and we adapt each activity and each session to ensure the children improve their skills. The most popular activities are Boccia, Kurling, dodgeball (with a difference), Pop the bubble championships and balloon volleyball.
The priority aims will be
To improve the physical and mental health of the children, all suffering with various physical and learning difficulties.
To accelerate their development and catch up back to previous levels before lockdown measures were put into place.
To provide education to the children on activities for life long learning.
